Accessibility Statement

Effective date: 3 September 2026

SPOTMIND LIMITED (“SPOTMIND”, “we”) wants spotmind.co to be usable by as many people as possible — including people who browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, enlarge text, or rely on other assistive technology.

Hong Kong law does not require a website to publish an accessibility statement. We publish one because the Disability Discrimination Ordinance (Cap. 487) is concerned with whether the service itself is usable, and a statement is the clearest way to say what we have done, what we know is still imperfect, and how to reach a person about it.

1. The standard we work to

We work to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

2. Conformance status

Partially conformant. “Partially conformant” means most of this site meets the standard, but some parts do not yet.

This assessment is our own. No independent third-party audit has been carried out, so we do not claim full conformance — we would rather say so here than let you find out on the page.

3. What is in place

  • Text contrast is measured, not eyeballed. A muted display grey that measured 1.93:1 against the page background — below even the 3:1 floor for large text — was replaced with one measuring 4.53:1, which clears the 4.5:1 AA threshold for normal text.
  • Decorative icons are hidden from screen readers. The icon font renders private-use characters that a screen reader would otherwise read aloud mid-sentence. All 57 icons on the marketing site are marked aria-hidden, and the controls that are icon-only carry their own accessible name.
  • The logo is a real link. It can be reached with the Tab key and is announced as a link, rather than being an image that only answers to a mouse click.
  • The site works without JavaScript. If scripts are blocked or fail to load, a static version of the home page is served, carrying the same wording, contact details and links.
  • Three languages, declared properly. Every public page is available in English, 繁體中文 and 简体中文. The page language is written into the HTML on the server, so assistive technology announces the right language before any script runs — and the cookie notice follows the language you are reading in.
  • Page titles and descriptions are produced on the server, so screen readers, share previews and crawlers get the right text without waiting for JavaScript.

4. Known limitations

We would rather list these than imply they do not exist:

  • No independent accessibility audit has been carried out yet.
  • The cookie notice is injected by a third-party tag manager. We control its wording and colours, but not every part of its markup.
  • Client proposal pages and raw design exports served under other paths are outside the scope of this statement.
  • We have not tested every combination of browser, operating system and assistive technology.

5. Tell us about a problem

If any part of this site blocks you, tell us — we will treat it as a fault, not a request.

  • Email: hello@spotmind.co
  • Phone: +852 3707 2215
  • Post: Flat/Rm 1805, 18/F, Hollywood Plaza, 610 Nathan Road, Mong Kok, Hong Kong

It helps if you tell us the address of the page, what you were trying to do, and which browser or assistive technology you were using. We will reply as soon as we can, and we will tell you plainly what we can fix and what we cannot.

Frequently asked questions

Which standard does this website follow?

WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That is the level Hong Kong government sites and most international guidance treat as the working benchmark. Publishing this statement is not itself a legal requirement in Hong Kong; meeting the standard is what the Disability Discrimination Ordinance is concerned with.

I found something that does not work. What should I do?

Email hello@spotmind.co or call +852 3707 2215. Tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and what happened instead. If you can, include the browser and assistive technology you were using — that is usually the fastest route to a reproducible fix.

Which assistive technologies are supported?

The site is built to work with mainstream screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, and browser zoom or text enlargement. We do not certify it against any one product, because a certification we have not tested would be worth nothing. If it fails with the tool you use, that is a bug and we want it reported.

Does the site work without JavaScript?

Yes. A static version of the home page is served when scripts do not run, carrying the same description of what we do, the same contact details and the same links. It is plainer, and it is complete.

How often is this statement reviewed?

Whenever the site changes materially, and at least once a year. The effective date at the top of this page is the date of the last review.
